Dearest Louise, Steve and Maddi Beginning around 3:15 on Friday, an immense "Sun Dog" illuminated the sky to the west of the low January sun. Amid moving clouds, it painted the sky in brilliant 3-D, morphing, spreading intense rainbows around its massive golden center. This Sun Dog stayed, hovering brilliantly above the ridge behind the Interfaith Chapel, much like your magnificent photo of Taft, only higher, up in the heavens. Rest in peace, sweet Taft.
